Stanleytown Presentation Night 2008/09

This years presentation saw four players pick up 2 awards each out the 12 available. Ian Reed took player the year as well as the most man of matches awarded by the opposing team throughout the season. Jarrad Davies was voted Players Player of the year by his fellow team mates, he also picked up his gold bracelet after being crowned Stanleytown Poker Champion for 2008/09 back in December. Young player of the year and most improved player was awarded to John Williams. Tyrone Jones took top goal scorer as well as goal of the season for his effort against Hopkinstown in December. Other awards saw Tom Lewis pick up clubman of the year, Matthew Smith voted Rhondda League player of the year and Huw Evans named Maerdy player of the year. The final award of the night was for Best excuse of the season and this was picked up by Stanleytown legend Nicky Rees.
