Senior CUP FINAL May 2003: STANLEYTOWN 1 - 0 Ynyshir Rhondda Leader Match Report 8th May 2003
STANLEYTOWN pulled off a shock South Wales Senior Cup victory when they defeated South Wales senior league champions Ynyshir Albions at Penydarren Park.
A first half headed goal from Jason Carnell was enough to give the Division Two side victory and set off a night of celebrations for the Stanleytown supporters.
The team is managed by Anthony Withers while their captain is Leon Roberts.
Club spokesman Gareth Lewis said: "It was a brilliant effort by the team and we had a great celebration afterwards."
